About Me

About Me

I  am a retired teacher, a poet, and a crafter. I work with several

mediums like polymer clay, resin, leather, feathers and beads.  As a jewelry crafter, I search for the prettiest glass beads and the most

interesting elements I can get my hands on. I work primarily with

premium Czech fire-polished glass beads that catch the light with

a variety of facet cuts and sizes and specialty Picassos with

delicate surprises  of color. I use tiny 11/0 Miyuki Delicas for my

loom beading, and I love ceramic beads , wooden beads,

and natural stones.  I chose to call this collection The Elementals.

I live in California and draw inspiration from the earth and sand,

the ocean and beaches and rivers, birds and the Cali sun and sky ,

and the arena pow wow bonfire to honor my relatives.

I make dream catchers and leather medicine bags, too.

I am obsessed with the alchemy of verdigris and anything mystical,

magical and whimsical. My website is a place that welcomes all

and celebrates diversity. Come with me on this crafty journey!

This is good medicine! Osiyo!

It’s All About The BEADS

~I fell in love with collecting beads when I wandered into a cool little shop called Diva Beads in my home town. It smelled of Nag Champa, cool jazz was playing on the speakers, and there were hundreds of little dishes filled with candy-colored goodness. I could spend hours looking and touching every bead, collecting them in a small box, then purchasing them piece by piece, bead by bead, charm by charm.

I was obsessed.

~I don’t source my beads from big supply chains or discount sites, and I don’t buy in bulk, so all my designs are original and one-of-a-kind, although I do go back to popular designs like super long strands of confetti seed beads and the beautiful Mala bead necklaces. I source my supplies from reputable specialty bead stores because  I LOVE BEADS! Shiny, matte, natural shapes and fire-chiseled perfection, the earth-chilled roundness of stones, and the tiniest seed beads, the natural and infused color in the glass beads that look like miniature paintings.

I LOVE THEM ALL.

And I want to share them with you!
